CLIMATE MISSION VALÈNCIA 2030 AND VALENCIA GREEN CAPITAL 2024

Our vocation to accompany cities in their processes of sustainable and innovative urban development has in València all the ingredients that distinguish us as TECH friendly. Specifically, there are two main projects in which we are accompanying València that demonstrate our understanding of where and how the cities of the future should evolve.

València 2030 Climate Mission

In 2021, we accompanied València in the process of preparing its candidacy to be selected as part of the European Innovation Mission 100 Smart and Climate Neutral Cities in 2030. Following the confirmation in 2022 of its inclusion in this select group of 112 European cities that will lead advances in the field of climate neutrality in cities, we are currently continuing to assist the city in this exciting, yet complex challenge, jointly addressing, among others, issues related to the deployment of innovative projects for this purpose; the optimisation of the calculation of Greenhouse Gas Emissions or the design of economic models to quantify the investment needed to achieve climate neutrality in the city in 2030.

València Green Capital 2024

Closely related to the previous point, TECH friendly has also supported the city of Valencia on the path that has led it to be selected by the European Commission as European Green Capital in 2024, becoming the second Spanish city to achieve this distinction after Vitoria-Gasteiz in 2012. Thus, we have assisted the City Council in the entire process of building and defending a candidacy based on the enhancement of green public policies and social benchmarks at European level.

INTELLIGENT BUILDING PROJECT, FOR THE TECHNOLOGY CENTRE OF LA RIOJA

An intelligent solution that manages to optimise energy consumption, both from the point of view of demand and the generation of predictive models for the efficient use of the facilities, as well as the planning and prioritisation of the investments to be made.

During the execution of the project, a total of 57 offices and communal rooms have been sensorised and acted upon, with more than 500 sensors and actuators that allow information to be collected on the environment and the use of the facilities. All the information collected by the sensors is constantly analysed by a Smart City Platform, which learns about the building’s energy behaviour, allowing it to act on the building’s different systems in anticipation of the user’s needs.

To verify the results of the energy savings achieved by the solution, a measurement and verification plan based on the International Protocol for Measurement and Verification of Savings (IPMVP) was carried out, concluding that the energy saving capacity of the solution on the building is 36%.
