COMPANY CARD
At Smart&City Solutions (S&C) we are specialists in indicators and measurement of social, environmental and economic impact of policies, strategies and projects on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda in 2015, we have accompanied organizations on their transformation path towards sustainability, providing them with the guidance, assistance and expertise needed to advance in the complex incorporation of the 2030 Agenda in their own work. We work in the diagnosis and evaluation of sustainable development strategies, always from a scientific, objective and innovative approach. We emerged as a spin-off of the Center for Innovation in Technology for Human Development of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (itdUPM), an interdisciplinary center pioneer in the implementation and dissemination of specific strategies for sustainable development, climate change and circular economy within the scope of the 2030 Agenda. Since June 2021 we are part of the Clean Cities ClimAccelerator program dedicated to the search for solutions against climate change in cities.

URBAN AGENDAS OBSERVATORY
In 2022 we have implemented 12 Urban Agendas. Specifically, we have developed the system of indicators for monitoring and evaluation and the online observatory. Thanks to our experience we have provided a holistic monitoring system, which adds to the indicators defined by the Urban Agenda itself an additional set of indicators focused on measuring results and impacts, so that municipalities with our observatory can make a complete analysis of the effects of the policies and projects implemented. All this information is visualized through an open source online tool, where the results can be explored.
ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF MADRID NUEVO NORTE ON THE ODS
We have carried out several projects for the private sector with companies, such as Telefonica and Iberdrola, to analyze the impact that their products and services have on the Sustainable Development Goals. Our latest project has been carried out for Crea Madrid Nuevo Norte, to analyze the impacts that the project of the new district of Madrid Nuevo Norte will have on the SDGs. To carry out this study we have applied our DUI-SDG methodology that allows us to quantify direct and indirect positive and negative expected impacts. The methodology is focused on highlighting the “external” impacts that the business or project activity has. Within the framework of this project we have identified and quantified impacts on 51 SDG targets, and another 24 indirect impacts.
