This week, Bilbao Urban & Cities Design (BUCD) has become part of the largest corporate responsibility initiative in the world with almost 12,000 participants in 140 countries: The United Nations Global Compact.

As a participant, BUCD has adopted the following commitments, among others:

  • Supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact with respect to human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption
  • Spreading these principles within its sphere of influence, and making a clear statement of this commitment to its stakeholders and to its public in general.
  • Taking part in the activities of the United Nations Global Compact

From our goal of creating more sustainable and inclusive urban environments, we are proud to participate in such an ambitious project, and we would like to thank the UN Global Compact for counting on us to do so.

Bilbao Urban & Cities Design Association, arises as a result of an intense work to create a common initiative, taking advantage of the reputation of our models of urban transformation, formed by a group of professionals and companies in different fields such as urban planning, architecture, engineering, energy efficiency, environment, mobility and social innovation.

The aim of this initiative is to bring together a series of professionals as a think tank, committed to new models of more inclusive and sustainable cities, as well as new models of growth and participation, and also to be able to attract urban projects to work with.
